Privacy Policy

Booking requests: your name, phone number, email address, the car, pickup and return dates, handover type, delivery address (if any), payment preference and any notes you add.

Accounts: if you create an account, your email address and login details.

Reviews: your rating and comment, published with the name on your booking.

Technical data: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to prevent spam bookings - we never store your actual IP address - and basic information about how visitors use the site.

We do not collect copies of ID documents through the website. Your CPR, passport, visa and driving licence are checked in person when you collect the car.

To review and confirm your booking, contact you about it and send you booking emails.

To manage your rental, including scheduling and handover.

To publish reviews you choose to submit.

To protect the website from spam and abuse.

To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business: Base44 (website hosting and database), Google (Gmail for booking emails and Google Calendar for scheduling confirmed bookings) and, once online payment is available, our payment provider. Card details are entered on the payment provider's secure page and are never stored by us.

We may also share information with the authorities when the law requires it, for example for traffic fines or accident reports.

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Bahrain. We only use established providers that protect data with appropriate security measures.

We keep booking records only as long as needed to manage your rental, resolve any disputes and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them.

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep the site secure, remember your choices (such as your language and cookie preference) and understand how visitors use the site. You can set your cookie preference using the banner on our site and clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Booking records can only be viewed by our staff with admin access, and all data is sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection.

Under Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law, you can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, and you can object to how it is used. To make a request, email capricarrentals@gmail.com.
